Our current pattern of regular Sunday services at St Mary’s North Leigh is:
1st Sunday of each month
9.00 a.m. BCP Holy Communion
This is a service attended by a small but dedicated congregation.
10.00 a.m. Café Church in the Turner Hall
Croissants and coffee followed by informal worship and talk – organised by a lay team
1st Wednesday of each month
10am Said Holy Communion in church
2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays
10.00am Common Worship Holy Communion
This regular celebration of Holy Communion includes lay-led intercessions. Our team of regular preachers include our minister, retired clergy, LLM and authorised preacher. We are keen to develop the gifts of any church member. Hymns chosen from New English Hymnal or Songs of Fellowship are accompanied by the organ.
3rd Sundays
10am Family Communion
Special occasions:
Advent Service of Light, Ash Wednesday & Ascension Day.
Good Friday – an Hour at the Cross at St. Mary’s North Leigh.
Easter Day – a family focused service to celebrate the resurrection
Harvest – a village thanksgiving service
Remembering With Love – a reflective service for bereaved families
Remembrance Service – attended by uniformed organisations and RBL (with robed choir).
Christingle – a full church is guaranteed.
Christmas Carols by Candlelight - usually the last Sunday before Christmas Day. A service of readings and choir led carols with readers from across the village community.
Christmas Eve – Crib Service at 4.00pm
Midnight Service by Candlelight with choir. Our church is at its best when lit by candlelight.
Christmas Day – 10am Holy Communion with choir.
